Spence Campbell

Spence Campbell is the co-owner of Aviation Training Center. His experience and talent in both flying and instructing creates the backbone of our training services. Spence is an FAA Gold Seal Instructor and an instrument training specialist. He is well known in the Seattle area as one of the best instrument instructors in the region. He hand-selects the curriculum and the instructors that will provide the best training experience in the U.S.

Spence has been flying for forty-three years and has taught for thirty years, fifteen of which have been in aviation training. During each of the past three years, he has averaged 2,500 hours of combined simulator, ground school, and airplane instrument training. His background includes more than sixteen years as a college vocational teacher, and four years as vice president and corporate pilot flying for a Houston, Texas company.

Spence specializes in instrument training for students serious about becoming safe, proficient instrument pilots, Certified Flight Instrument Instructors (CFII) who want to become highly skilled instrument instructors, and pilots that need specialized, individualized, or fast-track instrument training. He enjoys teaching and makes learning fun for his students.

In addition, Spence performs aerobatics in many air shows during the summer months for stress relief (huh?). For his greatest air show stunt, he radioed the show announcer, and proposed marriage to Marie Ingalls over the loudspeaker in front of a crowd of 5,000 spectators. Marie's last name is now Campell, and she is a co-owner of the business.

Although she's not an instructor, how could we forget

Marie Campbell

Marie Campbell is co-owner along with her husband Spence Campbell. Among her several hats, she serves as the business manager of Aviation Training Center. Her smiling face is likely to be the first thing you see when you enter the company's office. Marie has a talent for rubbing enthusiasm onto people who come through our door. She constantly has her hands in several projects at a time, but will still stop everything to spend some time with a customer. You'll notice that the welcomed feeling you get from Marie will last from the moment you enter until well after you have left.

Our students realize that her knowledge of the aviation training world and her "personal touch" are some of the reasons that they keep coming back and why you'll have a hard time choosing anyone but Aviation Training Center for your training.
