Training in Seattle

Aviation Training Center is located on world-famous Boeing Field in Seattle, Washington.

Seattle is renowned as one of the leading aviation communities in the world. It is the home of The Boeing Aircraft Company and many aircraft support industries.

Seattle is a great place to take your flight training, offering a variety of flying environments from coastal ocean, low-lying valley, and alpine mountain terrain -- all within a 50 mile radius. It boasts some of the most beautiful scenery available in the United States and is within 60 miles of the San Juan Islands, a wonderful island chain between Seattle and Victoria B.C. (Canada).

Seattle is without a doubt one of the best places to do your instrument training. IFR training flights below the freezing level but in the clouds are possible for most of the winter months due to the constant on-shore flow of warm moist marine air from the Pacific Ocean. Instrument students trained in the Seattle area can usually expect 30% or more of their instrument training to be in actual IMC (Instrument Meteorological Conditions).

The Seattle area offers high density air traffic control training that will adequately prepare you to fly anywhere in the world. At the same time, the air traffic control system here has the flexibility to accommodate instructors and students during training flights. Our local air traffic controllers work hard to assist students who are making aviation training flights so that they can accomplish their goals.

In addition to being one of the greatest aviation communities in the world, Seattle is one of the most livable places in the United States. If you choose to do your training in Seattle, you will always be glad you did.
