Who should take these courses?
This course is designed to refine the pilot's instrument skills as they relate to departure, enroute and arrival procedures.

Prerequisites: Pilots should have their Private Pilot rating and either have their Instrument Pilot rating or be working on it. The course matter expands upon the knowledge gained from those ratings.

What are the main topics covered?

  • Proper IFR filing and departures from non-ATC airports
  • Tower enroute procedures and how to file for the T.E.C.
  • Rapid interpretation of standard instrument departures
  • Interpretation of enroute charts, amended clearances, enroute holding, and lost comm. procedures
